Desirée Bacala was born and raised in Baton Rouge, LA. After graduating from LSU (geaux Tigers!) she went on to earn an M.F.A. from the University of Central Florida. While in Orlando she began her bartending career at Walt Disney World Resort. She went on to hone her drink-making skills at various establishments in NYC. In 2011 she moved back to Louisiana, thrilled to make New Orleans her home. Currently she practices the craft of cocktails at Public Belt inside Hilton New Orleans Riverside. While not slinging drinks she can be found performing theatre, enjoying this beautiful city, and spoiling her beloved corgi.
